How does the man and van hire service work?

  1. You can make an enquiry online and one of our reps will call you back to discuss your waste needs or alternatively you can call us directly and we can discuss your waste requirements there and then.
  2. After you have discussed your requirements with our customer service representative you will be provided with a quote / estimate, if you are happy with this quote we will proceed to book in and organise your man and a van clearance service and provide you with a time and date that suits you.
  3. All our man and van clearance load sizes include two operatives to carry out the loading for you. You will receive a call 30 minutes prior to our team’s arrival to let you know we are on our way. On arrival our team will confirm the load size compared to the initial quote provided to you over the phone, if the load size is any less than we initially quoted we will only charge you for the lesser load size. If on the other hand the load size is any more than we have quoted you over the phone we will requote you and this is a no obligation quote so you do not have to proceed and if you would like to cancel there will be no charge applied.

What rubbish can you remove? - +

We clear all types of rubbish that you will find in a commercial or residential property, there are some items we charge additional for if they contain hazardous properties or are difficult to recycle, such as: Mattresses, TV’s, Monitors, Batteries, Gas Bottles, Paints, Hazardous Liquids, Fluorescent Tubes, Tyres.

Where does my waste have to be located? - +

Your waste can be located anywhere on the property and our team of operatives will be happy to load, please keep in mind each load size includes an allocated labour time allowance therefore the further away from the vehicle is the longer the job will take and in turn this may increase the cost.

How should my waste be contained? - +

We ask that your waste is easily manageable, we understand not all waste can be bagged due to its shape and size but it's all loose this will take our team more time and therefore you may incur additional costs.

Should my waste be in one location? - +

Your waste doesn’t have to be in one location, it can be in a variety of rooms and our team will be happy to collect.

Do you provide fixed quotes? - +

All the quotes we provide over the phone and on our website are estimates, unfortunately estimating load sizes is very tricky to do over the phone even with photos of the waste. This is why when we arrive on site before we start the collection we confirm the final price there and then, if the load size is any more than we have quoted you over the phone its obligation free and you will not be charged if you don’t proceed.

How big is a cubic yard? - +

A cubic yard is around the equivalent of 1 and a half washing machines.

How do I pay? - +

We take payment for non-account customers by card over the phone, we pre-authorise the payment at the time of booking so the funds are held, on completion of the job the transaction is processed once you are happy with the amount and a receipt is emailed over.

What happens if I cancel my booking? - +

As long as we receive more than 12 hours’ notice to cancel a booking there will be no charge, if we have not received sufficient notice we may charge a cancellation fee.

How do I know my waste isn’t fly tipped? - +

We are a registered waste carrier with the Environmental agency, our carriers license number is CBDU44709. We provide a waste transfer note on all of collections detailing end disposal destination for the waste we have collected.

Additional notes

If the quote is as quoted over the phone the team will proceed to carry out the man and a van clearance, once the team are finished and have swept up you will be provided with a waste transfer note. This is a legal document showing the transfer of waste from yourselves to us, this is a legal requirement for all waste removal companies to provide. It states our waste carriers license as well as the tip destination the waste will be going to.

Your waste will then be transported to one of our local recycling stations where we are averaging recycling rates of over 98%. If any of the items are still in reusable condition by the time they get back to our yard, they will be donated to one of the various charities that we work with.
